Party On!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now that my YW Christmas Party is successfully over I'm ready to get serious about Christmas! The kids at home are glad it's over too. Thanks guys for your help! Thanks for all of the great candles Ang. They were a hit! As you can see we won't have any problems fitting all of us in the living room. 21 YW singing Christmas Songs! I'm so excited that we get to see all of our children and grandbabies!!!!!!!!! I only wish you could all be here at the same time, but we'll take you all whenever you can come. I need to know what you're craving. I'm gonna start planning meals, snacks, and treats! Remind me what your favorites are so we can Party On!!!!!!!!!!
Ooooooh, Hi MOM! Look I fit!!
one year later...
So, this week marks my one-year anniversary of being home from Brussels. CRAZY, huh!?! Since today is INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS DAY, and I was working at a Human Rights NGO, I figured it was a good day to mark the commemoration. Brussels was a BLAST and I enjoyed every minute of being there. My friends were great, my job was great, and I fell in love with Europe. I hope each of you has the chance to go and visit someday... it will be worth every penny!

Sidebar Pictures
heyyaaaaaa! now is the time to let me know if you want to change your individual picture on the left sidebar. i'd like them all to be landscape format because i think that looks better... but just send me the picture via e-mail or let me know if it's on facebook or myspace or something and i'll be happy to do that for you!

MY RESUME
It took forever to finish! I hope its good. If you want to see it, tell me and ill email it to you, I need opinions. But i already emailed chrissy it because she is thee expert!
Hi all.
I have something that I feel all should hear. This seems like the best place to contact everyone so that there isn't any misunderstanding. Christmas is close at hand and I know it will be a great time to all be together. Let's see how nice we can all be together and make it most enjoyable.
There was a time when our children were small and it seemed necessary to see that everyone got the same amount $$$ for gifts. Times have changed and since everyone is pretty much grown and out of the childhood "I want that, too" stage, mom and I have decided to not worry so much about making sure we spend the same amount on all. We have found that individual gifts should be centered around each one's needs. We may pay almost nothing fpr a goft that we know will be perfect for one, when we may have to pay much for the cheapest brand that we get for another. What I'm trying to say is that we really don't care what the price was and wish you can all agree that it really doesn't matter. What one of you may have or get, does not necessarily mean each of you will get or even one of you may get the same. Take cars for instance. Chrissy has had three cars from us. Whether she still has them or not, the rest of you may never get a car, or maybe some will and some won't. It's got to do with timing, circumstances, availability, or maybe just because we want to. Jacque, Erik and Taylor all drive our cars, but ownership may always stay with us. Or we may decide to give one or all to them. It's up to us, and I hope everyone will just be happy for those who are fortunate (or maybe not so fortunate "Chrissy"). Some of you no longer live at home. You may get more, or you may get less. Who knows? Because our family is in our home is getting smaller, the ones living at home may get more "bennies" just because they are still living with us, but we also may decide to give the ones notliving at home more of other things to help them in life on their own. does any of this make sense?
So there it is. Please understand that we want everyone to be happy and not worry so much about what others may get or if yours is not as much. You all have different circumstances and those circumstance dictate your needs as we see it. As you get older, we will probably give more to our grandchildren than their parents. We hope you don't mind that. We both love all of you and hope to have a fun Christmas together. Please comment on this.
love ya

tree overload
so this last friday, chrissy, aaron, libby, sara, ty and i ventured on down to the festival of trees in salt lake. basically it is where people whos children have died seeking medical treatment in the primary children's hospital down here or who have children getting medical help there donate these ELABORATELY decorated christmas trees to this festival and companies or very very wealthy people bid on these trees for THOUSANDS of dollars... and all of the money goes to medical research for these children at this hospital. so picture rows and rows of crazyyyyy christmas trees, wreaths, and gingerbread houses filling up a huge convention center. it was really overwhelming and we didn't even get to actually see all of the trees on display. what a cool thing that they do every year though, huh? here are some pictures for your enjoyment!

this one is for dad! a christmas tree made out of golf clubs!
oh my goodness. this tree was soooo incredible in real life. it was made entirely out of blown glass pieces.. sooo beautiful. and they had lights inside of it going to the tunes of christmas songs.
check out this rad gingerbread house! and yes... there were actual REAL christmas trees decorated.. but i thought these ones were the most interesting and unique. love you alll
