Hi all! It's been awhile since I've posted anything. I hope you all still visit the blog here. Mom and I are throwing around the idea of setting up a cruise for next Thanksgiving. Nov 2010. It is an 8 day leaving San Diego for Acapulco, Zihuatnejo and Manzanillo. Saturday through Sunday. These are ports that you haven't been to and are fun ports, plus it is way warm down there. Right now the cruise is only $439 on the Carnival Spirit, which is less than half of what we paid over three years ago. This is the first cruise mom and I went on. Great ship! The only catch is that with Erik going on a mission, Taylor may be too at that time, and with times as they are, we are asking for you all to save money and try and pay your way. It shouldn't be too hard to do. We will probably have to pay for all of our homies. You can bring anyone you want as long as they also take care of their own expenses. We really just want to have as many there as we can. We are also thinking of inviting any of the Phillips family, Ang and Christina and my Bro and sis, if you all think that would be ok. Let's hear it!!

This sounds like so much fun!!! It's a whole year away, but I'm already really excited!
I'm definitely down for the pay-your-way plan. It basically breaks down to saving $34 a month until then, and I think we can all handle that! And the more the merrier--invite the whole crew.

I just have a couple of questions:
1. when do we need to get the money to you so that we can get it at that price? are you just paying for it ahead of time and we pay you back or how is this working?
2. what do we do about flights? do we need to cover our flight expenses as well or do you have flier miles we can use?
3. what are the exact dates in november we will be gone? i need to plan ahead for classes and whatnot.
uhhh i think that's it. count on me and aaron both attending! aaron has never been to mexico, so i am reallllyyyy excited for him to become addicted to it like the rest of us!
also, i speak spanish now so i will haggle with all of the spanish speakers for ya'll... bueno!!!

OK, We don't care how you get to San Diego, but you need to find a way. We don't even have enough flier miles for all of the homies, but will will figure it out some how. I need to see how many are planning on going and then I will call my travel lady. She may be able to get us an even better deal, but not guaranteed. We will be required to put down a deposit on each person which could be up to $200 each. I will find out. Sorry, mom and I are pretty low on funds and would really like you to send it to us or give me a credit card number to give to the booking agent. There will be some taxes added to the cost, so figure maybe another $25-50 per person. "you can pay what ever you like during the year after the deposit, but it all must be paid within a couple months or so of the cruise. You must have at least two people per cabin, but you can sometimes add extras and get half off for the 3rd and 4th person in a cabin. This price is an inside cabin, but for a couple to a few hundred more, you can get a window or balcony or suite, whatever, but it costs more. Remember that there is also the $10 per day tip charge per person, but I will try to get some ship credit to offset that. I believe the dates are Nov 22, 2010 ,which is a Saturday and come back on the Sunday of the following week. I will check, but look at your calender and if the 22nd is a Sat, that's the day we need to be at the dock, NO LATER THAN 2pm on the 22nd. So if you are driving to San Diego, you may want to get there the day before or early that day. If you are flying in, make sure the flight lands before noon, in case there is a delay. THE SHIP WILL NOT WAIT FOR YOU, and unfortunately, neither will we. So, get out the sun tan lotion and save up.

ok....I made a slight mistake on the date. We leave on the 20th, not the 22nd, so get it right!!! I am in the process of finding out all the details so be patient.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to go!!! I have never neeb on a cruise and I really need to do something fun to get my spirits of life back up to peace and happiness! I'm just starting to work more hours again, so what's the deadline for the $200? It'd be easy to send a little each month for the next few months to pay if off after that. I miss you all and an in some dyer need for some joy! When I get my next paycheck, I'm going to drive down to visit for a couple days, so probly in a couple weeks, unless I maraculously win some money before then! I know it's only like $40 to drive down, but I'm going paycheck to paucheck right now, since my lovely ex hasn't helped with any of Davien's needs. Anyhow, I will be coming down soon, I need to visit you guys! Dad, are you only in town on weekends the next couple months or what?-Love you all!
